About the Principal

“Standing Tall…Reaching Back” is a motto that aptly describes Paulette Turner, the founder and president of Integrated Leadership Concepts (ILC), Inc. Ms. Turner has spent more than 30 years mentoring and coaching others to reach their full potential but has never forgotten her experience as the first black student to attend Robert E. Lee High School in Huntsville, Ala.

Born in Miami, Fla., Ms. Turner succeeded in high school and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Rockford College, Rockford, Ill., and an M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, Ms. Turner became certified in the Center for Creative Leadership methodology for skill assessment and in the Sherpa Coaching methodology.

Before forming ILC in 2007, Ms. Turner directed sales transformation and learning for IBM Americas as director of that business unit. In that role, Ms. Turner led a team of global learning professionals responsible for leadership training for IBM sellers, sales managers and executives in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Prior to this, Ms. Turner oversaw sales operations for the IBM SMB West Region, contributing to a sales team that achieved more than $2 billion in sales.

Ms. Turner has received numerous awards, including being named an Influential Woman of Texas and a Successful Woman in Marketing.

Ms. Turner is active in her community, serving various organizations.
